Registration Information

 

The full conference attendee fee provides for almost two full days of educational program. It also includes early Saturday and Sunday morning refreshments, Saturday and Sunday lunches featuring products from Florida’s small farms, and all refreshment breaks.

 

Participants who are unable to attend the full conference may take advantage of the one day attendee fee. The one day attendee fee includes participation in the educational program, morning refreshments, and lunch featuring locally-produced food.

Fees apply to all attendees ages six and older. Children under six are free.
Parents will be responsible for the supervision of their children.

Participants with Young Children - Conference organizers are sensitive to the need of participants who may need to attend with their young children. While the conference is unable to provide babysitting services or activities for older children, a room will be available for nursing mothers and parents with young children that need a short break from the conference (Cloverbud rest area). Parents will be responsible for the supervision of their children at all times and will not be allowed to leave their children in the room unsupervised.

Refund Policy - On or before July 6, 2009: All refund requests must be received in writing by July 6, 2009. A processing fee of $30.00 will be deducted from all refunds. No refunds will be honored for cancellations after July 6, 2009. Email refund requests to Kim Brand at kimmer72@ufl.edu  

Special Needs: Special needs (such as visual, hearing or walking impairments) of registered attendees can be reasonably accommodated if they contact the Office of Conferences & Institutes at least 10 working days prior to the conference. Support the Florida Small Farmers Scholarship Fund
Your tax deductible gift of $50 or more will help Florida small farmers attend the Florida Small Farms and Alternative Enterprises Conference who otherwise may not be able to attend. Your donation will be applied to a conference attendee's registration fee, thereby enabling a Florida small farmer to attend at a reduced or no registration cost. Applicants for the registration scholarship will need to meet certain criteria in order to be selected to receive support (Example: low-income, beginning farmer/rancher).

To donate to the registration scholarship fund, simply indicate your gift amount when you register for the conference. If you do not plan to attend the conference, but would like to donate to the registration scholarship fund, click on "Not attending the conference, but would like to donate".

Conference Registration Scholarships for UF/IFAS AND FAMU CESTS Students

Are you an UF/IFAS or FAMU CESTA graduate or undergraduate student interested in Florida Agriculture and would like an opportunity to attend the Florida Small Farms and Alternative Enterprises conference? You have an opportunity to apply for a scholarship up to a $200.00 value; qualifying UF/IFAS- FAMU CESTA students may attend the conference at no registration or hotel cost. This opportunity is available with thanks to the Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice Company located in Ft. Pierce, Fl. Applications will be due by June 12, 2009 reviewed on June 15, 2009 and applicants will be notified by June 17, 2009. Please note other costs associated with the conference such as travel and incidentals are not covered under the registration scholarship and will be the responsibility of the individual.

Student Scholarship Application

Conference Registration Scholarships for Florida Small Farmers
If you are a Florida small farmer and will need financial assistance to attend the conference, you have an opportunity to apply for full or partial registration scholarship. Up to a $100 value, qualifying Florida small farmers may attend the conference at a reduced or no registration cost. This opportunity will be available based on the total amount of donations received for this purpose.

Applications will be reviewed on June 1, 2009 and all applicants will be notified by week of June 8th. Please note other costs associated with the conference such as travel, lodging, and incidentals are not covered under the registration scholarship and will be the responsibility of the individual attendee.

Florida small farmers applying should complete the application and send by June 1 for consideration.
